Frequently Asked Questions

Web-based training courses may take up to 2 hours to be reflected in your STA from the time of completion. Classroom training sessions are generally recorded within two business days from when we receive the course roster. If you are concerned that you did not receive credit for training, please contact slac-training@slac.stanford.edu.

The Restricted Thru date is a 90 day grace period for newly assigned training in the STA. The date listed is the day the training will become overdue if not completed. Work associated with the training may be considered "Restricted" if training is required before work authorization is given.

For more information on training term definitions, please see the Training Definitions page.

A supervisor is responsible for completing the STAs of their direct reports. Though the supervisor has responsibility to ensure STA completion for their employees, each department may appoint a different individual (such as a department admin) for the actual STA data entry. Your supervisor should know who is doing that data entry for your group.
